Things to do in L.A. For Sports Fans

Los Angeles, California, can be a dream come true for sports fans. In a city littered with championship rings and trophies, there are plenty of places to visit if you love sports. Whether you love to bet on Super Bowl lines or watch college basketball on the weekends, the city of Los Angeles is a perfect sports city.

When visiting Los Angeles, it’s easy to get overwhelmed by all the amazing things to do. We broke down a list for sports fans of the five best things to do when in the city of angels.

Baseball at Dodger Stadium

Nothing screams Los Angeles sports more than Dodger stadium. The history that has taken place inside the walls of that stadium will give you a feeling like no other. There are very few ballparks that bring the energy on a day-to-day basis, like Dodger stadium.

The Dodgers have also been the best team in baseball in recent history. The lineup from one to nine is loaded with the biggest stars in the MLB.

In just one game, baseball fans will be able to check off Mookie Betts, Clayton Kershaw, Trea Turner, Freddie Freeman, and more off their lists of players they’ve seen. Not to mention, you also get to see another team’s best players.

Additionally, like any sports arena/stadium in Los Angeles, there’s a great chance you will run into a Hollywood star. Denzel Washington, Magic Johnson, LeBron James, and Jason Bateman are notable celebrities often seen at Dodger stadium.

The Dodgers play almost every day during the late spring, summer, and early fall. So, if you’re in L.A., going to a Dodgers game is usually something you can count on.

Additionally, you can always place a bet while watching the game! For those who only bet Super Bowl lines, this would be the perfect chance to switch it up.

Lakers Game at Cyrpto.Com Arena

Formerly known as the staples center, the Crypto.com arena will have more banners in it than any other building in the city. In the rafters of the arena, you will see all 17 of the championships the Los Angeles Lakers have won.

The likes of George Mikan, Magic Johnson, Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem Abdul Jabar, Shaquille O’Neil, and Kobe Bryant are all featured in their own way throughout the building. Them, and many other stars to wear the purple and gold, have their jerseys retired in the rafters, something that will take your breath away in person.

The game you get to watch is better than all of the history. Going to a Lakers game means you get to witness the greatest basketball player of all time play in person. Whether you agree Lebron James is the Goat or not, seeing someone as great as him in person is breathtaking, so soak it all in if you end up going to a game.

Los Angeles Rams/Chargers Game at SoFi Stadium

If you are looking for something new and exciting, going to a Rams or Chargers game at SoFi Stadium is the move for you. The multi-billion dollar stadium is the newest venue in the National Football league.

The building itself is unimaginable. The architecture and design are beautiful. You get to enjoy the football game from an air-conditioned building but enjoy the natural sunlight and a light breeze, courtesy of the glass roof and ventilation through the walls.

As for the teams, both the Chargers and the Rams play in SoFi Stadium. The Rams are the reigning Super Bowl Champions. If you bet on the Rams’ Super Bowl odds, it might even feel like you have to go see them play in person.

Their lineup is loaded everywhere on the field. Being able to see the defending Super Bowl Champions in action is not something everyone gets to do.

I wouldn’t blame you if you would rather see a Chargers game. The Chargers have put together a Super Bowl contending roster this season, with a superstar behind center, Justin Herbert.

Regardless of what team you go see, you are seeing elite football at the highest level.
