Different people on this planet have a different passion and different set goals in life. And it is the very thing that makes everyone identical to one another. Some people are sure about what they want to do in their lives, what they want to be, what they want to choose as a career. And some leaves into time and explore and discover their passion with time.
Also, many people choose to explore different parts of the planet and do different jobs in different countries. This is an interesting lifestyle and many countries around the world welcome these working holidaymakers. The Australian immigration system has many visas for tourists and visitors like Visit Visa also known as Subclass 600 and it also has a visa for such working holidaymakers.
In this article, we will particularly talk about how corona has affected this visa and its holder and how the visa fee waiver can help the holder of a working holidaymaker visa in this difficult time.
Working holiday visa fee waiver and who is eligible for it
The pandemic coronavirus has presented a very difficult time for everyone on this planet. It has been epically tough on people Australian temporary visa holders. As many temporary visas cease to be in effect and people on these visas were not able to enter Australia due to the travel ban imposed due to coronavirus.
A similar situation happened with the working holidaymakers. Some of these visa holders were not able to enter Australia due to travel restriction and some are stuck in Australia and couldn’t exit the country due to limited travelling options. This is why the Australian government is offering visa fee waiver to the working holiday makers to make up for the time and money they lost due to coronavirus travel restriction.
Here is the condition for visa fee waiver or refunds:
- The working holiday visa holders who were outside Australia and their visa have expired and is going to expire anytime from 20 March 2020 and 31 December 2021 may be eligible for a refund of the visa fee or fee waiver on the further visa applications. The fee waiver will be for those who couldn’t travel to Australia due to coronavirus travel restrictions.
- If the candidate is not eligible to get another WHM visa then he or she can also request a refund.
- To get refunds or fee waiver one must apply before 31st December 2022.
Here were some conditions and terms for getting a fee waiver on a further WHM visa or to get a refund of the visa fee paid by the holder. It will no doubt be a relief to many people
Everything around us has borne an impression by the pandemic situation either it’s big or small. Nothing is that the way it had been before the pandemic hit us. Australia is practicing a travel ban from March 2020 as a prevention from the further spreading of the virus. Thanks to this travel ban, one is allowed to enter or exist in Australia until or unless he or she is exempted from the travel ban. But hopefully with the vaccination drive and the fee waivers and refunds provided for different visas the situation is expected to change for good.
