Understanding the basics of Scrum:
Scrum methodology is a framework that helps development teams of an organization to develop a product from scratch. What is Daily Scrum?
Daily Scrum is basically a 15-minute meeting carried out every day throughout the Sprint. Here the entire development team is involved in updating the status of the current Sprint on the daily basis. The main objective of this meeting is to plan out the next 24 hours. This helps the team optimize their collaboration and cohesiveness. This in turn improves and fastens the production. The Daily scrum is usually referred to as ‘the daily’ or ‘the daily stand up’ as well. What is Sprint Review?
The Sprint review is held t the end of each Sprint to inspect or check the increment and make any final amendments if required in the product backlog. The entire team, including the stakeholders and product owner, collaborates with the developmental team to discuss what was achieved in the entire Sprint. This is an informal meeting. Everyone that is a part of this meeting gets involved in the ideas and collaborative decisions of the next Sprint too. Thus, this is an essential transition between one Sprint to the other. The duration of this meeting varies depending upon the size of the Sprint. For example if a Sprint is of one month then the Sprint review could last for almost 4 hours.
What is the purpose of Sprint review and who should attend it?
The whole point of hosting a Sprint Review is to inspect the entire work carried out in the Sprint through the product increment and plan the next one. They try to optimize the product as much as possible. They also devise a plan to work on Product backlog (if there is any).
As for the attendees, this meeting is for the Stakeholders, and the entire Scrum team. Including the product owner, scrum master and the development team. This meeting is usually led by the Product owner.
